Southampton is a small, quiet neighborhood built between Rice University and West University Place. The area was originaly developed in the 1920s under strict zoning codes. As a result, the neighborhood remains comitted to its historical preservation of traditional large homes on large, wooded lots. Southampton provides a stately lifestyle with easy access to the Texas Medical Center and downtown. Visitors will notice the community's integrity of treelines streets and large, well kept homes.
