Montrose is one of Houston's most eclectic and personality-filled neighborhoods. Founded over 100 years ago as an early suburban Houston community, the area was linked to Downtown by street car. The area became the Bohemian center of Houston during the 1960s and 70s and has remained an eclectic area. Montrose is home to a strong mix of housing options. Montrose is known for its eclictic culture. The area is home to Houston's artist and musician community.
