Neighborhood Profile
Breaswood Place is a collection of subdivisions located south of Bellaire and West University Place. Most of the homes were built during the 1950s as is reflected in the area's ranch homes. The area's prime location along 610 and just southwest of the Texas Medical Center make it an idea destination for quick commutes while retaining a suburban style lifestyle.
In recent years, Breaswood Place has undergone major changes. Rising prices in neighboring West University Place and Bellaire have forced many to look for more affordable housing options bordering these prime areas. As a result, Breaswood Place has seen many homes torn down to make way for newer estates and stucco-style homes. Recent development trends have also led to new town home developments as well as newer mid-rise condo and apartment projects.
