Step 2: What Type of Home Are You Looking For?

1. Single Family Home

	A Single Family Home a free-standing residential building. Most single-family homes are built on lots larger than the structure itself, adding an area surrounding the house, which is commonly called a yard.

2. Townhouse

	A townhouse is a home that has one or more walls that are shared by neighbors. A townhouse usually may contain 2 or more floors. A townhouse most of the time may have a very small yard or no yard at all.

3. Condo/Midrise/Highrise

	A home that has common facilities such as hallways, heating system, elevators, exterior areas and controlled by the association of owners that jointly represent ownership of the whole piece. Similar to an apartment but you own it.

4. A Multi-Family Home
(Duplex/Triplex/QuadPlex)

	A Multi-Family home is similar to a townhouse except one owner owns all buildings/homes.  Great for someone who wants to live in one unit and rent the other units out.  By the renting the others out this help by all or most of the mortgage.  Great for investors.
